REFUND POLICY

Be Prepared for Your Appointment

  • Know your appointment date and time

  • Know your appointment meeting location/address

    • Look up the address and know how long it will take you to get there.

  • Arrive 10 minutes before the appointment. 

    • Leave early for your appointment allow unexpected delays.

  • Driver must have the physical permit/license in their possession at all times during all lesson.​

  • An invalid permit/license will result in forfeit of appointment and fee. 

  • Have your Original permit or license to show the Instructor at the start of your lesson.

  • Rest before your appointment so that you arrive refreshed and ready to learn

Permit/License Requirements

  • Lesson Fee = $140 for a one hour lessons

  • Only schedule one lesson per day.

    • Can't schedule 2 lessons back to be in the same day.​​

  • We have lesson locations you'll have to meet the instructor at. We do not pick up customers or drop them off. 

    • Make arrangements for a ride two and from the lesson location​

  • We only give lessons in our company vehicles.

    • If you have adaptive equipment that you need in order to drive, contact our office to see if we can accommodate ​

  • Each of our company vehicles has dash cameras inside and outside the vehicle

  • Customer cannot take a Drive Test with the same person they had lessons with.

    • If you decide to take your Drive Test with us, it is your responsibility to make sure the test is schedule with a different examiner.​​

Things To Know Before You Schedule

  • Driver must have a valid permit or license to take private lessons with Southern Oregon Driver Ed, Inc.

  • If the permit/license is out-of-state, driver must first take a knowledge test with the Oregon DMV

  • Customer MUST show the Instructor their ORIGINAL permit or license at the start of each appointment

    • Temporary issued by the DMV is acceptable 

    • NO copies. NO exceptions. Failure to do so results in forfeiting of appointment and fee. 

  • Driver must have the physical permit/license in their possession at all times during all lesson.​

  • An invalid permit/license will result in forfeit of appointment and fee. No exceptions.

​Refund / Cancellation / Rescheduling Policy

  • We have a 48 hour cancellation/rescheduling policy​

    • If an appointment is cancelled with at least 48 hours notice, a refund minus a $5 processing fee can be issued.​

    • If you schedule with less that 48 hours before the appointment start time, it is final and cannot be canceled, rescheduled, or refunded.

  • If you're more than 15 minutes late, you forfeit your appointment and fee

  • To cancel or reschedule, the customer must contact the Office with a minimum of 48 hours prior to appointment by doing one of the following:

  • Before/After office hours will be accepted as long as it's more than 48 hours before your appt start time.

  • If the customer reaches the office voicemail, they must leave a message providing at least 48 hours’ notice in order for the cancellation or rescheduling to be valid.

  • If you schedule with less that 48 hours before the appointment start time, it is final and cannot be canceled, rescheduled, or refunded.

  • Arrival at the appointment when it is found that the customer has had previous behind-the-wheel instruction with the examiner they are scheduled to test with. 

  • If you mistakenly schedule a Private lesson but meant to schedule a drive test you won't receive a refund.

No Show:

​​A customer will be considered a "No Show" under any of the following circumstances:

(In all of the below cases, the customer will forfeit the appointment and the associated fee.)

  • Arrives 15+ minutes late to their scheduled appointment.

  • Fails to appear for their scheduled appointment.

  • Arrives without original permit/license (temporary DMV-issued ID is acceptable).

  • Canceling the appointment with less than 48 hours’ notice.

  • Arrives intoxicated or under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

  • In all of the above cases, the customer will forfeit the appointment and the associated test fee.

Fees

Private Lessons fee = $140/hour

3.a. If a student withdraws before the course's designated drop date, a refund will be issued minus the $50 non-refundable registration fee.

 

3.b. No refunds or transfers will be granted if a student withdraws after the drop date for their registered course.

3.b.1. The drop date is typically two weeks before the first class and is listed in the Class Schedule for each session.

 

3.c. Suspension, expulsion, or failure to complete the course for any reason will result in forfeiture of all fees. No refunds or transfers will be provided.

 

3.d. Students who are dropped by the office for failure to attend after the course has started will not receive a refund or be transferred to another

Grievances

Grievances are formal concerns or complaints raised by clients or customers when they feel dissatisfied with a product, service, or experience. They are addressed through a clear process to ensure fair and timely resolution.
